Aquila Fire North Phoenix June 23, 2020
TNT had the honor of participating in the rescue of the animals associated with the Aquila fire.
This is the 2nd time in three weeks that we were able to assist our four-legged friends.
It was exhilarating and humbling to see the airstrike of water and the chemical retardant which helps to slow and cool down the fire helping the dedicated Hotshots crew with their noble efforts. A big shout out to the brave firefighters and all other public servants assisting in this destructive fire.
Very little compares to being close enough to feel the heat, smell the soot and see the devastation.
Oscar and I rescued 4 horses and 2 donkeys from peril. They are currently housed at our ranch awaiting the opportunity to return to their home safely.
Our heart goes out to not only the animals but to the owners, who have been displaced and, in some cases, permanently lost their home and personal possessions.
